Poetry: The Hourglass

Hola Reader!

Sorry for the long absence! I’ve been having a hard time thinking of what to write. :S So for now I am posting poems and writing prompts I am okay with sharing! (Though warning: some of my poetry may not be that good. I am critical of my own works but I am certainly not like any of the famous poets.)

So here is one of my poems! I titled it “The Hourglass”.

It gives the somewhat average life at an overview, which I suppose makes it somewhat depressing… :S But here goes!

The day I was born, the day the glass turned.

The life I had one, the time I had learned.

The days I had new, the nights I had old.

The friends I had few, the love I had gold.

The spouse I had soon; the funeral I had then.

The triumphs I had won; the defeated I had been.

The time was then told; the deeds I had done.

The fun I had bold; the rewards I had earned.

Death I had cold; the day the glass turned.

Don’t worry! The next few poems I will be sharing are more uplifting.

If you have a topic or a question or something else you would like me to post or answer, please let me know in the comments below! Do you want to know more about Guardians of Ashith, or its characters? Would you like to have more (or less) poetry? Would you like to know about my other books?

I will hopefully decide and reveal within the next month what my NaNoWriMo novel will be!

Meanwhile, I hope you’re having a great week! Keep on writing! 🙂
